My name is Kip Carey and I've been fishing Colorado and Wyoming for over 33 years. It's my pleasure to present the 2001-2002 Colorado edition of this outstanding book. This will be the 19th edition of the classic

Tim Kelley Fishing Guide

which he started producing every other year beginning in 1954.

Tim Kelley's vision was to chronicle in detail all of the fishing waters of Colorado and Wyoming. The resulting guides have been a valuable resource to countless fishermen over the past 46 years. For the fisherman of Colorado and Wyoming the Tim Kelley Fishing Guide is regarded as the only authoritative source for complete listings, descriptions and directions for all the fishing waters in these two beautiful states. Tim Kelley passed away in 1982, but his work continues to this day.

While this book is primarily for fishermen, those who enjoy camping, backpacking, hiking and other outdoor activities will find this guide useful in many ways.

My passion for fishing developed as a result of the Tim Kelley Guides. My father gave me my first edition when I was only 8 years old. We had planned countless trips over the next thirty years while using the many editions of the Tim Kelley Guides. The Guides offered us detailed descriptions of lakes and streams that compelled us to search out many memorable fishing spots. In 1999, with the help of family and friends, I was able to obtain the rights to this great resource. It is my goal to reintroduce this publication to sportsmen everywhere.

I hope to carry on the work started by Tim Kelley so that you may enjoy fishing Colorado and Wyoming as much as I do.
